CF 100. College Foundations Seminar
This course is an opportunity for students to develop the skills necessary to be successful in college. Students learn the importance of the faculty-student and advisor-advisee relationship, develop time management techniques, apply effective study skill techniques, recognize the implications of living in a diverse society, utilize college resources, and explore career and transfer requirements. Collaborative projects are included. Students matriculated in a degree program must take this course in their first term of study.

CF 102. Career Exploration and Planning Skills
This course provides a general introduction to the process of self exploration and the exploration of the world of work. It includes discussion of the concepts of values, personality preferences, interests and skills, as well as resources to learn more about potential careers. Students apply these concepts to development of their own educational and career goals.

CF 112. Critical Thinking & Reasoning
This course assists in the development of critical thinking and reasoning skills. Topics include the characteristics of critical thinking, the effect of language on critical thinking and reasoning, drawing deductively valid conclusions, hypothesis testing, analysis of arguments, decision-making, and problem-solving methods. Prerequisite: An appropriate placement test result. Mandatory Corequisite: EN002: CF112: ILS
